Let the World Fall

by M.K. Wessel

If ever I forget our love, let the world fall
And let all mankind topple from the earth
For all I am is none and none is all

Without your laugh, your song, my senses stall—
Though as like to weep as shock myself with mirth
If ever I forget our love, let the world fall

If ever I do not towards you crawl
Then nothing I remain except a dearth
For all I am is none and none is all

How can you be ash when all the rest stand tall
Just memories left to rot like afterbirth—
If ever I forget our love, let the world fall

If I ever fail to answer at your call
Let my voice join yours in that great lost firth
For all I am is none and none is all

None but you could e’er crumble my wall
And though no words can illustrate your worth
If ever I forget our love, let the world fall
For all I am is none and none is all.
