Snowfall

by Kirsten Hutchins

The snow comes trinkling down from the sky
White as ever.
Beautiful with a soft sound only heard by the trees
A deer frolics in the snow.
A child bundles up to make their first snowman.
The sound of silence becomes the snowfall
Ever glistening amongst the trees
Shining like sparkling silver
So beautiful and a reminder of old man winter is coming.
Gathering of wood and food.
For the animals of the forest have already prepared for the snowfall.
