Walking on Eggshells

by Hannah Dilday

Inspired by the nursery rhyme, “Humpty Dumpty”

Miss Humpty Dumpty broke herself
because she had become a shell
of what she was, too scared to make a sound.
Look who has to walk on her eggshells now.
