Tsunami

by Nicole Genova
The fear of a future
unknown to the world and me
as I overdrown myself,
cage myself in the tsunami of my mind
a mirror of thoughts
in the reflection of my fingers
pinching and pulling my skin
from underneath my feelings
to rip them apart from its core
to save me from drowning at last

Nicole Genova's passions involve books, music, and so much more. She found herself bored during quarantine, and she discovered a passion for writing, and ever since, she has been trying to get out every idea that comes to mind. She's still an amateur writer, but practice makes perfect--or close to it. She is currently enrolled in school studying English, and her goal is to get her degree in English Literature. She hopes you find comfort in her words the same way she found comfort in writing them.
